The Truli Wetsuit Photo Shoot in The Turks & Caicos Islands
In July 2015 I picked up the first set of sample Truli-Mi Wetsuits that were sent to me from the manufacturer. I brought them back with me to Providenciales (Provo) in The Turks & Caicos Islands just in time for a fantastically fun event put on annually since 2007 called, Wind Vibes. Created by professional kiteboarder and local islander, Hope LeVin, the event's goal is to promote kiteboarding and water sports in The Turks & Caicos Islands and to give back to the communities by donating to a selected charity with funds raised in honour of the event. This year the event raised 10 322USD for The Turks & Caicos National Trust charity! There are a number of fun and amateur events such as kayaking, SUP, ocean swimming, tug of war, and then the main events of kiteboarding and wind surfing. I happily participated in the ocean swimming event with one other woman, which gave me a second place win by default! The vibe on the beach was very positive and exciting; it's always so great to see everyone come together to participate!
I thought that this would be an absolutely awesome day to showcase the new sample wetsuits of different sizes on the beach and also capture some fantastic water women wearing them. I set the wetsuits up on a line between two palm trees and made sure to mention the wetsuits to just about every person I met!
I was very lucky to have Irina (Canada) who is one of my biggest fans and a Truli Water Woman, excitedly try a wetsuit on and put on some poses for us!
Cesca Peirce (UK) was also participating in the event and achieved second place in the kiteboarding freestyle category. Cesca and I did a couple of very cool photo shoots as well!
Thanks again for all your help ladies and can't wait for next year's Wind Vibes!
